Post Utilite2 512gb mSATA SSD -- why 512gb limit?
I am glad to have discovered CompuLab Utilite2, as it comes very close to what I was looking for:
a reasonably powerful headless desktop and portable ARM computer, running Android OS.

I have a few questions, related to mSATA SSD:

1 - why mSATA SSD memory size is limited to 512gb, any particular reason?

2 - what happens, if I use 1000gb mSATA SSD instead?

3 - is it possible that this 512gb limit will be increased in the future, or even eliminated?

Please advise, thank you.

Hello,

As far as we know there is no technical limitation for the mSATA drive size.
512GB is mentioned as at the time we have checked that was the maximal mSATA size commercially avaialbe.
Generally, any mSATA drive supporting SATA-I (1.5Gbps) operation mode should work.

Best Regards,
