I am wondering?
https://wiki.linaro.org/Boards/MX6QSabreLite
go to "getting started", maybe boards were flashed (or fusing) differently at different time periods? Maybe you was lucky? I have also tried removing 1024 padding trick.

Yes that is a possibility, the fuses weren't burnt correctly, assuming GPIO isn't used. However it doesn't explain the uboot on SPI reporting:

Code:
Boot Device: SD

Which would indicate the configured bootable device is the SD card.

I'm not able to boot the alternate uBoot either.

I did apply the uBoot as specified here:

In case it's helpful, here's my output

Please, try the workaround below:

In U-Boot console write:
mw 20d8040 3042 && mw 20d8044 10000000 && reset

It will still report the boot from SPI NOR, but the U-Boot will be from SD card.

Have a nice day!

Indeed, this did the trick. Now my prompt is U-Boot >
My cheap usb2rs232 dongle has lots of corruption, can't really capture anything sensible.
Thanks to you and jas-mx

Anything new here?

Would love to enable the options CONFIG_EFI_PARTITION and CONFIG_SYS_64BIT_LBA to get the device booting off a 4TB hardware raid setup...

Got my eSATA SheevaPlug using U-Boot 2013.10 using the above options booting off the same raid.

Hi jas-mx,

I'm trying your U-boot image from SD card but it's still running the same old version :
CM-FX6 # version
U-Boot 2009.08-cm-fx6-0.91+tools (Nov 19 2013 - 14:56:48

I have formatted a new SD card using the instructions in this page
http://www.utilite-computer.com/wiki/index.php/Utilite_Linux_Installation_and_Update#Installation_onto_micro-SD

echo -e "n\np\n1\n\n+100M\na\n1\nt\nc\nn\np\n2\n\n\nw\neof\n" | fdisk ${BOOT_MEDIA}

mkfs.vfat -n boot /dev/sdc1

sudo dd if=u-boot.imx bs=1k seek=1 of=/dev/sdc1 && sync

Is there anything I'm missing?
