I checked the filesystem from my debian system with fsck and it looks like ok.
With a new installed SDCard the system boot normaly.

I cannot find answers in google about this questions:

Can i undo the "upgrade"?
How can i boot in Single-User Mode?
Is there a special log who i can see details about the hang?
Can i start without display drivers (only serial console)?
How can i redirect "HDMI" Output to serial console (during boot)?
(so that i can see all output on the serial console)
How can i enable "dmesg" Output to file (text output during boot)?

thanks in advanced for any help.

Post Re: utilite hang after: apt-get upgrade
Just an idea (situation seems to be quite difficult):

My system's booting process have also stopped to the just same stage as your's have either with somehow corrupted file system or when the system files or directories privileges has gone wrong for some/any reason.

And another:

Did the upgrade update also the firmware package? That could also cause side effects. The Firmware package should always be the one installed from Compulab:
