Post hostapd and bridge support
Hi,

I am trying to turn my utilite pro into a wifi access point.
If there a linux kernel around that would support this.
I have been told the wifi chip can do the job, just need a driver.

Post Re: hostapd and bridge support
That link does not work.
After considerable testing and diagnosis I have this:
A kernel that has bridging working.
Bridging only works after doing
"ifconfig eth0 promisc"
Even if you do
"ifconfig eth0 -promisc"
afterwards, it keeps working.
eth0 for me is the "eth0: Freescale FEC PHY driver"
So, I conclude that there is a bug in the kernel freescale driver.
So, I have testing bridging between the two ethernet ports on br0.

Next, I run hostapd (utilite acting as an access point), which works fine in "no encryption" mode, and forwards packets over the bridge, br0, to the LAN.
I cannot get the client to pass the authentication step for encrypted mode.

Has anyone seen similar problems?
I don't need any graphics output for my application, I only currently need bridging and hostapd working.

The hosting and the bridge support is the programme to get the best thing of the description and the assessment with the statue making purpose. The utilite is the basic platform for assignment writers UK to get the board index with the proper wish list of the system.
