Post Inputting Audio to Trim Slice ???
Hello,

I am inputting line level stereo audio to Jack P5 (labeled S/PDIF) using a standard 3 terminal, 1/8" (3.5 mm), male to male patch cable. I am getting no indication of an incoming audio signal in the Sound Preferences window of the Gnome desktop.

Under the Input Tab of the Sound Preferences window, the selected connector is "Analog Line In" and the chosen device for sound input is "tegra-trimslice-analog Analog Stereo". Mute is not checked. The Input Level Bar shows no activity. I hear no sound coming from the speakers, except system sound effects.

I have tried multiple patch cables and sources in order to eliminate those a problem sources.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, or does anyone have suggestions or solutions ?

Thanks

Hello, hassellbear.

Follow the procedure in order to make your TrimSlice pass the Line-In signal to the Line-Out.
Plug in your audio source cable (not a microphone!!!) into the TrimSlice Line-In socket.
Run “alsamixer”
Press F6 and select “tegra-trimslice-analog”
Turn On “Output Mixer Line Bypass”
Make sure that you can hear the Line-In signal through the TrimSlice Line-Out.

Regards,
Valentin.
