Post Serial console help
I'm trying to monitor the rs232 ..without luck

My serial adapter seems to be ttyACM0 -> 3 (I've tried them all)

Code:

$ stty -F /dev/ttyACM0 115200
$ cat /dev/ttyACM0

*EMRDY: 1

..then nothing

Am I on the right track here?

Can you give a little bit more info about what you do?
What this "/dev/ttyACM0" came from?

What output do you expect doing this "cat /dev/ttyACM0"?
Did you try to get connected to another PC through the serial console using kermit without the MultiIO adapter?

Afraid not. There's not much left of other-pc's-with-rs232 in the house

I had to buy this IO ExpressCard for the (TS) occasion

But I can ask around and maybe find one.

I did read this part of U-boot man http://www.denx.de/wiki/view/DULG/SystemSetup , but I thought stty+cat was even simpler

Sorry, I've missed something.

How you'd like to use the TS-serial:
1) be able to get connected from your laptop to TS, in order to have a serial console on TS;
2) make use of the TS-serial in order to control a device that connected to;

Where did you issue this command "cat /proc/cmdline" your laptop or TS?

Looks like you'd like to get connected to TS thru the serial. Then:
1) install "kermit"
2) create ~/.kermrc conf file:
set line /dev/ttyACM0
set speed 115200
set carrier-watch off
set flow-control none
connect
3) issue "kermit"
