Post Dual booting
Hello. I searched a little bit, and couldn't find any information about dual booting with U-Boot.

I ordered a Trim Slice H, which should arrive this week, and have a 500gb 2.5" hard drive I plan to use in it. I want to boot Ubuntu, LinuxFromScratch, Android, and OpenBSD.

Does U-Boot provide a boot menu, like Grub and Lilo do, so I can select which configuration I want to boot to? If not, can U-Boot be configured to chain load Grub, so that Grub can give me this functionality?

Thanks

The U-Boot that comes with Trim-Slice does not have a boot menu feature.

It can be an option to make U-Boot load the grub loader into the memory and jump to the specified offset in order to invoke the grub. U-Boot has the functionality for reading block devices that can be used.

Have a look at http://www.denx.de/wiki/U-Boot.
Hope that the answer can be found there.

A simpler way is to have 2 boot.scr files picking up different partitions, and rename before reboot.
