Post Help needed please.
I got my Trim Slice Dev Kit a few weeks back and waited until my lab remodel was done before unboxing it.

Now that I have, I can't seem to get it to do anything except put a blue rectanglar cursor in the upper left hand corner of the monitor.

I thought maybe the image was messed up so I downloaded the firmwar update and os install and created .img for them on two separate SD cards.

I tried the firmware update first. Install SD, press reset button and power on at the same time.

Blue cursor, power button lit and the leds on either side of the power button blinking on and off in one second intervals.

I put in the OS image SD, reset+power one and get nothing but power light.

I turn off, put in firmware loader, wait till it blinks and then put in OS, nothing, but the blinking LEDs.

Ok, I'm stupid, what is going on?

Thanks!

Wait up to 10 minutes first boot, it could be as quick as 2.
Or Maybe sd is screwed, but can you put in another Linux machine and cat /boot/boot.scr file

Well I took the sd card to my other Linux machine. I can see the folder structure in the GUi, etc, but when I go into a terminal session and cat media/TRIMSLICE_LIVE/boot/boot.scr It show me a script, but the first part of it is some strange characters followed literally by 'rim-Slice Boot ScriptDecho starting boot.scr and then normal looking script after than.

Yes, the rubbish is the wrapper, it's the text that's important.
If it looks ok, then great, if not you can be guided to making a new one

Ok, i guess I will give it another try and wait 10 or 15 minutes. Thanks.

The rest of the script looks ok as far as I know.

Thanks!
